Military Vehicle Storage (Long Beach)?
how are the cars treat treated in military storage? i was told by my brother that the cars are started and run everyday for 5 minutes and washed every week? I’m wondering because the car will be given to me as a gift. it’s been sitting for 7 years.
I’d be stunned if that was true. I’ve only seen a few lots but they were all outdoors someplace on base, away from everything. The one’s I’ve seen were not all that secure, but I guess they’re OK as the MP’s drive past the lot regularly.

Matching knobs for TV armoir?
The movers lost the wooden knobs to my TV armoir and I want to replace them with the exact same ones if possible. I asked this question before and got some answers about calling the manufacturer or looking at knobs on line…but I have tried these already. I don’t have the model number and Ashley furniture can’t order parts without it. The model number is not anywhere on the furniture either. I looked online for matching knobs, but can’t find the exact ones I am looking for. I live in Long Beach, CA and am wondering if anyone knows of any businesses that custom match furniture parts. Thank you!
The movers said they would reimburse me for replacing them…so I am not too concerned about the cost.
Maybe the easiest thing to do is go to hardware store and buy enough knobs to replace them all. Whatever you do/buy, the moving company should pay for it (they are well insured by state law).

The Blue Line Metro station in downtown Long Beach has those HUGE lockers for bikes. Dont know how much though.
I am planning on moving to Arizona within the next year and am looking for feedback regarding living there?
I have visited Arizona 3 times and loved the warmth and sunshine. I work in social services and have been researching agencies. My last trip I researched Gilbert and Chandler and liked them – especially Chandler. However I realize I need to be close to all of my activities due to the bad traffic. So lately I’m looking at Scottsdale, since several places/activities I want to be part of are in that area. I see housing is coming down, and light rail is slowly being added. Any general feedback? Anyone work for a mental health clinic? I currently work at a group private practice and love it! The suburb I live in now has no crime, great residential setting, and is close to freeways. Most everything is ten minutes away for me, however our cold Minnesota winters are getting to me. I am happiest in shorts and barefeet! I also can’t wait for day trips to Mexico (Rocky Point was great) and long weekends in California. I love the beach too. Also I understand that it is quite easy to meet people?
AZ is a right to work state so getting a job won’t be a prob. I loved it when I was there to!!! It is getting too big for its britches though so be prepared for big city probs. High traffic, rude people, long waits, trouble parking etc… Tips, park in the shade, get a windshield screen (to block the sun) and make sure that you use sunblock until your skin gets used to the heat and DRINK A LOT OF WATER!!!!!! I can not emphasize that enough because one minute you’ll be fine and the next….bam, heat stroke which is no fun!!! I hope that you have a grand time

Hiring movers from NY to Florida?
I want to hire movers to move my stuff from Rochester, NY to Daytona Beach, FL. I’m trying to get a general idea of how much money I need to save. I hate searching online, because they always make you fill out a ton of info and then the moving companies NEVER stop calling. I figure I should have about 2 grand saved just for moving expenses. I don’t have much, but a bunch of boxes, a bed, tv, dresser, kitchen table, coffee table. No washer/dryer or appliances. What do you think?
